01 The service
DarkSecret is an online platform of fictional interactive detective investigations. It is currently in a free public Beta.
02 Your account
You need an account to play. You must be 16 or older, use one account per person and keep your password private. You are responsible for activity on your account.
03 Free Beta
During the Beta every case and feature is free. Features may change or be removed while we test. If paid cases are introduced later, we will tell you in advance and you keep your saved progress.
04 Fiction
All characters, places, organisations, documents, phone numbers and websites in our cases are fictional. In-game messages — including those sent through Telegram characters you choose to contact — are part of the story.
05 Acceptable use
Do not attack, overload or scrape the service, share accounts, or try to make in-game characters produce harmful content. We may suspend accounts that do.
06 Content
Cases, texts, images and software belong to DarkSecret and are licensed to you for personal, non-commercial play only.
07 No warranty
The Beta is provided as is and may contain bugs or interruptions. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses arising from its use.
